Bodegas Landaluce Capricho 2017 is a limited-production, 100% Tempranillo red wine from Rioja Alavesa, aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels and bottled under the prestigious DOCa Rioja designation. Deep cherry red with violet hues, it opens with an expressive nose of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and plums, layered with cocoa, sweet spices, cedar, and subtle graphite. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a refined core of dark fruit, licorice, and toasted oak. The finish is long and persistent, offering complexity and finesse. Best served at 16–18°C after decanting for 1–2 hours, it pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, aged cheeses, and savory dishes like lamb or mushroom risotto. With proper cellaring, it will continue to evolve gracefully through 2032.
