Altos de Luzon pays tribute to the unique identity of the Jumilla region, characterized by its rough, dry landscape and challenging climate at an average altitude of 650 meters. This environment is where the Monastrell grape thrives, showcasing its best qualities and defining the history of winegrowing and the people of Jumilla. The wine is crafted from 100% organic Monastrell grapes sourced from the "La Melera" plot, a 40-year-old dryland vineyard located at "La Venta del Puerto" at an altitude of 675 meters. The vineyard's poor, gritty soil produces small grapes with high concentration and balanced acidity. Grapes are manually harvested in small boxes, carefully transported to the cellar, and stored at 6°C for 24 hours. Afterward, the best grapes are meticulously selected before undergoing the vatting and winemaking processes. Altos de Luzon Monastrell 2021 reflects the values, pride, and respect for the land that inspires its creation.
