Papillon Blanc is an elegant French-Catalan white wine crafted from Grenache Gris & Blanc (55%) and Macabeu (45%), sourced from plots plowed with their draught horse "Papillon." Certified Organic Agriculture, the wine is partially aged (20%) in old demi-muids to enhance its complexity. With a light yellow color, it offers a delicate nose featuring well-integrated oak notes, floral and fruity aromas like pear, reminiscent of certain sakes. On the palate, it is generous with a pleasant sweetness, fine bitterness, and elegant caudalies, complemented by notes of garrigue (fennel, anise, menthol). Finely balanced between finesse and smoothness, wine beautifully reflects the unique terroir of Vingrau, near the French-Spanish border.
