Papillon Rouge is a refined red wine crafted from Grenache (55%), Carignan (30%), Syrah (10%), and Mourvèdre (5%), certified Organic Agriculture. ​ This wine reflects the unique terroir of Vingrau, with grapes harvested from its oldest and most inaccessible vines, plowed with their draught horse "Papillon." ​ It has a deep garnet color with blueish highlights and a delicate nose featuring aromas of Morello cherry, black cherry, and fresh brioche. ​ On the palate, it offers a fine and taut entry with chalky yet enveloping tannins, showcasing silky flavors of cherry eau-de-vie, violet, and licorice stick. ​ With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol, Papillon Rouge is persistent, precise, and generous, making it ideal for short bottle aging.
